TERMS AND CONDITIONS



Eligibility
Open to all artists living and working in Texas and open to all mediums


Submission Fees
$20 Submission fee per entry (Group Exhibition or Temporary Outdoor Projects)
$30 Submission fee to apply to both
5 works per entry for the Group Exhibition, each work may be represented by three different views, which will be counted as a single work.
1 proposal per entry for Temporary Outdoor Projects


Catalog

Texas Biennial will publish a full color catalog, each artist will receive 5 complimentary copies. Exhibition catalogs will be distributed to art museums, curators, and gallery directors nationwide.


Acceptance & Notification
Artists whose works are accepted by online submitted images will be notified to ship their
artwork to arrive ready to hang by February 16th, 2008. Works accepted for personal inspection will be subject to review by the juror before the artists acceptance is final.
All artists will be notified of the final acceptance by July 31st, 2008


Delivery and Return of Work
Works accepted by online submitted images may be hand-delivered or shipped pre-paid
by the artist. All works must be packed properly. Texas Biennial is not responsible for damage
due to improper packing. Suitable packing must also be created for all hand-delivered work for storage purposes. The Texas Biennial will pay for return shipping costs within 10 days of the conclusion of the exhibition, shipping is limited to within the state of Texas.


Liability and Agreement
All work accepted for the group exhibition component will be fully insured by the Texas Biennial for the entire exhibition, including return shipping. Images of accepted work will be reproduced for catalog and media purposes as well as posted on the Texas Biennial website.


Installation
Work will be received ready to hang by February 16th. Installations of work will begin February 25th through March 4th. Artists that will be completing site specific installations will need to work within this time line.


Selling of Work
All work included in the group exhibition must have a retail value for insurance purposes.
All work is for sale unless artist instructs otherwise. The Texas Biennial will receive a 30% commission on works sold during the exhibition, artists will receive 70%. Payment will be made to the artist within 30 days after sale is complete.
